A well-established Clothing Manufacturer is seeking an experienced Merchandiser, for a 6-month fixed term contract, who can take responsibility for dealing with and servicing clients, as well as managing a portfolio and/or team.

MAIN FUNCTION:
• Be the lead point of contact for the relevant customer & Dept.
• Maintain and build strong relationships with the customer & Dept
• Provide clear communication with the customer & Dept
• Being solution driven – delivering ideas or solutions to the customer to assist them in growing their business

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Pre-Sales
- Manage the Critical path
- Ensure Sales and profitability targets are met or exceeded
- Work with the internal Design team during Design Brief stage
- Attend Brief meetings at customer, then hold and manage Internal de-brief meetings
- Quoting styles to customer/Dept
Sales
- Tracking and managing available capacity
- Quoting and negotiating Price (With involvement of Sales Executive where necessary)
- Hold and attend all internal pre-production meetings when new styles are confirmed
Administration
- Hold and manage internal weekly standstills
- Attend weekly/bi-weekly standstills with buyer and planner
- Dealing with Production and operational queries
Requirements & qualities:
• Minimum 5 -8 years’ experience in Merchandising role
• Merchandising management experience beneficial
• Experience in Ladies Wear very beneficial

Drivers Licence a necessity

Remuneration:
R18,000 - R20,000 based on experience.
