GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
To provide the necessary plant and maintenance support, maintaining the integrity of the plant to ensure and uninterrupted production process

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY TASKS
Limit machine downtime, in plastic moulding. (Can be required to assist in brush filling, PU plant and other)
Improve machine performance.
Effective and quick electrical, electronic and mechanical fault finding and rectification.
Questioning faults and proposing improvements
Doing ongoing machine inspections to timeously identify faults
Performing assigned or identified maintenance tasks.
Thorough completion of job cards.
Actioning assigned scheduled maintenance and proposing scheduled maintenance improvements
Success of new equipment procurement and installation as well as equipment modifications.
Assist in new equipment installations.
Assist in equipment modifications and major/minor repairs
Maintenance spares availability - Liaise with store man and supervisor with regard to spares stock keeping improvements
Improve and maintain good housekeeping standards - Perform regular housekeeping checks and correct findings
Improve on identified gaps
Support management systems like Pragma, ISO9001, NOSA, WCM etc
Adhering to works and safety procedures.
Assist in developing procedures in area of work.
Coaching less experienced artisans. Inspect work of less experienced maintenance personnel during and after performing it. Give advice. Be approachable to colleagues requiring relevant information and training.
Plant safety and safe working Adhere to safety legislation and safe working practices.
Assist in developing safe working procedures.
