MUST HAVE

EDUCATION:
• Matric
• Stock and store management qualification / background and at least 3 years work experience

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
• Experience to be related to stock manager as the role entails managing the stores on national level;
• Computer literate;
o Oracle knowledge will be beneficial
o Advanced excel knowledge
o Knowledge of Power Point and presentation knowledge

Key Performance Areas

• Maintain a stock holding of consumables and hardware items to enable property to be maintained and serviced on a timely and regular basis;
• To monitor stock holdings and place orders (via the Procurement Manager) for replenishing depleted stocks in order to avoid any delays in regular servicing and necessary emergency repair work;
• To secure and keep accurate current records of all products kept in the stores;
• Ensure all relevant financial documentation is processed accurately and handed in to the Finance Department;
• Monitor usage of consumables and hardware and keep accurate records of all issues/receiving/breakages/dispatches/shortages and ensure any discrepancies are reported immediately and investigated;
• To liaise with all departments as to what their current and future forecast requirements are in order to ensure:
o There is sufficient stock available when projects come on line;
o That orders are placed at the correct time to commensurate with the lead times requested and negotiated with suppliers.
• When suppliers deliver to the store the documentation is checked for the company's Order/Reference number and where presented against the copy of the Original Order to ensure that:
o The stock on the suppliers documentation match those on the original order and that the items are being delivered to the correct address;
o The stock items are recorded for the relevant manager;
o Copies of the Delivery Notes/Invoices are kept on file and periodic checks are done to ensure all stock items relevant to the documentation have been recorded correctly.
• Ensure all storerooms and cages are securely locked;
• Ensure that the storerooms are clean and tidy;
• Maintain stock levels in terms of minimum & maximum stock levels
• Complete Stock analysis of slow moving stock and make recommendations
• Manage stock write offs through a bi-annual analysis and motivation
• Drive and complete quarterly stock count and engage with all relevant parties
• Review current stock systems controls and process and make recommendations about improvements according to Company standards
• Ensure all receiving and dispatching is carried out according to company policy and procedure;
• Maintain a tight control over all procedures in order minimise shrinkage;
• Management of subordinates to ensure policies and procedures are followed at all times;
• Ensure direct subordinates are trained and developed in accordance with the company objectives; and
• All other ad hoc tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management
