Key Performance Areas:

Measuring and ensuring proactive implementation of all Lean manufacturing/World Class/TPS principals including change over time reduction, kan ban, visual management boards, MDW boards etc.
Controlling of production performance to schedule/plan.
Performing to budget on expenses and plant performance;
Ensuring that the manufacturing plants and associated areas of control, are always in a position to accept visitors from management, customers and suppliers.
Ensuring quality products are produced and that PPM targets for both internal and external customers are met.
To analyse lab results and additions, make adjustment where necessary.
To control and update process parameters and work instructions.
Investigations/ countermeasures/ troubleshooting into process problems. Rejects/ FTR.
Introduction of new processes and new part programmes.
Monitoring and ensuring proactive implementation of scrap and waste reduction programs to ensure targets are met.
Knowledge of automated cranes/ encoders/ rectifier controls.
Knowledge/ monitoring of atomic absorbtion for metals, CMS thickness, XRF, microscope cross section analysis.
Effluent plant maintenance and testing – Hexavalent chromium, Nickel, copper and COD.
MANAGE AND MAINTAIN A HIGH STANDARD OF HOUSEKEEPING IN ALL PLANTS AND ALL TIMES.

Qualification and Experience:
National Diploma in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
Production Management Diploma
3 years’ experience in Project Management
5 years’ experience in Plating on non-conductors
5 years’ experience in management role
SAMFA certificate
