PRODUCTION/FACTORY MANAGER – CLOTHING MANUFACTURER
SALT RIVER, CAPE TOWN | R18 000 INCLUDING MEDICAL & PENSION (50% COMPANY CONTRIBUTION)
START JANUARY 2016

Our client is a well-established ladies corporate wear company. They are seeking an experienced Production/Factory Manager with a strong focus in the Clothing Manufacturing Industry to join their busy team.

REQUIREMENTS
Own transport essential
Must have matric/ Tertiary qualification
Minimum 5 years production experience clothing factory
Basic HR Knowledge
Ability to communicate effectively telephonically and in person
Good organisational and workload management skills specifically with the ability to priorities own work and reprioritise
Integrity and understanding of care needed with sensitive information
Excellent Interpersonal, Verbal and written communication skills
Time Management and team player
Professional personal presentation and customer service orientation
Information management, organising and planning
Attention to detail, ability to use Initiative and reliable

RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain a professional appearance that reflects the company’s commitment to quality and respect for the individuals
Supervise the Production Team to produce and prioritise jobs, reorganise when necessary to meet deadline changes and updates
Comply with all Health and Safety requirements
Communicate effectively with all relevant parties informing and updating them regularly on guarantee production
Follow systems and procedures outlined and ensure all company policies and procedures are followed
Meet all assigned goals and assist others
Meet all customer commitment through the production of timely, efficient and high quality products and service
Maintain entry order discipline
Update and maintain production schedule
Organise workflow according to workload to meet delivery schedule
Schedule and planned morning meetings
Oversee staff scheduling, time off request, absenteeism and overtime
Monitor quality, accuracy and timelines of all orders to ensure customer commitment are met through production of high quality that meet customer’s delivery expectations
Ensure the completion of all duties with a minimum of waste and abuse to equipment
Capacity Planning - Delivery dates ,etc
Production line planning- allocation of styles to specific lines
Reporting- quality reports, production report
Initiate hiring when needed with HR
Provide a positive motivating example for employees
Initiate disciplinary measures according to company policy
Ensure that payroll document get handed in on time and in the correct manner
Technical Training for supervisors
All Industrial relations
Take all necessary actions to manage production costs and improve profitability
Ensure inventories are conducted and accurate records are maintained
