Qualifications:
• Matric (essential)
• Production / Operational Management / Industrial Engineering Tertiary Qualification
• 5 years experience as a Production / Operational Manager
• Experience in Manufacturing or Engineering preferred
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English
• Code 8 driver license (essential)
• Computer Literacy in MS Office (essential)
• Punctual and Well-presented
• Able to perform well under pressure
• Strong people skills
• Time management skills
• Ability to lead, manage and control a team
• Be able to apply Engineering Principles and Theories

Duties
• Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organization mission
• Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services (HR, IT, SHEQ, Maintenance and Finance) through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between support and business functions
• Play a significant role in long-term planning
• Oversee overall financial management, planning, systems and controls
• Development of individual program budgets
• Organization of fiscal documents
• Regular meetings with Directors around fiscal planning
• Supervise and coach Office Manager on a weekly basis
• Overseeing the production process, drawing up a production schedule
• Ensuring that the production is cost effective
• Making sure that the products are produced on time and are of good quality
• Drafting a timescale for the job
• Estimating costs and setting the quality standards
• Monitoring the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed
• Being responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment
• Monitoring product standards and implementing quality control programmes
• Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed
• Supervising and motivating a team of workers
• Identifying training needs
