RedCat Recruitment is urgently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced PRODUCTION PLANNER (MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY) for a large national concern – position based in the Pinetown area.

REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12 (Grade 12 Maths).
Supply Chain Diploma or Degree an added advantage.
Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet). Very competent on MS Excel.
SAP experience a strong advantage.
3 – 5 years manufacturing experience/exposure.
Strong customer service experience.
Planning or buying experience in manufacturing or retail an added advantage.
Issue weekly production schedules for production requirements.
Ensuring there is sufficient finished goods stock to fulfil orders, and reorder levels are maintained.
Manage slow and dead stock levels within parameters.
Coordinate intercompany sales and purchasing.
Advising raw materials of any exceptions that may be necessary for new products or changes of products.
Liaise with stores and distribution regarding service efficiencies.
Place orders with direct suppliers and manage stock levels accordingly.
Action any SAP Material Master Data requirements.
Action any SAP MRP requirements.
Advising on any machine (capacity) requirements for future.
Long term planning of production capacity in plant.
Assisting with utilization budget process.
