Production Planning/Distribution Manager
R20-25 000 per month Cost to Company + annual bonus
Permanent Management level position in the Manufacturing Industry
Industria West, Johannesburg

Minimum Requirements:
• Diploma in Production Management or Logistics Management
• Minimum of 5 years in similar position
• Computer Literate including operational knowledge of Syspro

• Ability to lead and supervise a team and a hands-on approach
• Strong administrative Skills

Key Performance Areas:
• Contributions for business plan compiled for planning section of the Factory – realistic though challenging, 100% timeously submitted and 100% within parameters provided by Operations Manager
• Realistic production plan produced timeously complete with all orders covered within limitations of plant/machine capacity, foam stock availability, production flow through departments, scheduled maintenance plans
• All raw materials and consumables requirements calculated 100% correctly within parameters and formulae e.g. quality, specifications, waste
• Ordering of raw materials and consumables planned considering lead times, delivery times
• Production schedules adapted quickly and efficiently during breakdowns, electricity outages etc
• 100% aware of production progress compared to production plan at all times
• Responsible for completion of Exports documentation.
• All customer queries resolved within 24 hours
• All envisaged delays in delivery proactively relayed to customers/clients
• All reasonable customer complaints regarding quality of products handled within a week
• Standards and procedures adapted to support improvements 100% complete with implementation of improvements
• Submit production reports timeously, 100% per frequency and 100% accurate information
• Responsible for Managing team and its performance
• Responsible to Develop and Train employees
