RS Recruitment Services is assisting a leading organisation in the FMCG industry to recruit a
SHIFT PRODUCTION FOREMAN to be based at their facility in PINETOWN, Durban.

Purpose of the position: Our client is currently seeking a competent Shift Production Supervisor that will be responsible and accountable for the full management of all activities within Production which consist of Butchery, Spice room, Cooking, Pastry, Production and Packaging.

Applicants should be/have the following:
Matric certificate
Relevant qualification in Production management / Operations management – an advantage
Minimum 5 years of work experience years’ experience working in an FMCG Industry
preferably within a food manufacturing environment.
Excellent Communication skills in English both written and verbal
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to effectively lead, organize and control a team
Ability to work shifts and overtime due to operational requirements
Must be Self-motivated and have a result driven approach
Must have excellent problem-solving skills
Responsible for efficiency optimization
Perform hands on tasks where necessary
Behave ethically and promote ethical behaviour in a work situation

Responsibilities:
Organization of work, training and direct assistance to ensure maximum production output, resulting in a quality product, exceeding customer expectations, eliminating waste, while using the minimum amount of resources.
Manage and communicate with all staff within the factory and follow IR processes with non-compliance of staff members.
Ensuring OEE system is followed and targets are achieved, manage all down times and report to Maintenance department.
Ensuring that all our products meet internal specifications and weights, all deviations to be reported to the Quality department.
Ensuring that hygiene standards, GMP’s and Housekeeping standards are maintained by all employees in all the areas of the Production process.
Ensuring 100% execution of production plan daily, deviation from the production plan should be communicated
Ensuring adherence to Health and Safety rules, policies and procedures at all times.
Ensure all stock in departments is managed, daily raw materials are sufficient for daily production, including weekly stock takes.
Ensuring compliance to food safety systems and process documentation is completed correctly.
Ensuring the “knowhow” on operation of all equipment, training and motivating team members.
Housekeeping: Maintaining a clean and safe work environment at all times
Accomplishing production targets by effective delegating, planning, leading and controlling of staff.
Compiling daily production output reports.
Responsible and accountable for the effective leadership of the shift
Conduct investigations and disciplinary actions when required
Responsible for implementing world-class manufacturing practices and a continuous improvement culture.

Remuneration:
R25 000.00 ctc including large company benefits.
