An experienced Production Supervisor (reporting to the Production Manager), with a relevant qualification is required for a manufacturing concern in PMB. The incumbent will be required on the production floor. The position will be shift based, one week night and one week day shift, 45hr work week (Mon – Sat). The incumbent must have strong management/supervisory experience and must have worked on JDE/SAP/Syspro and Excel. Previous or current experience within a food manufacturing concern would be an advantage.

Duties will include but not be limited to:
• Ensure that the plant is run to design capacity
•Production planning as per master planning schedule
•Ensure that product is packed to quality specification
•Ensure plant is run according to safety requirements
•Ensure safety standards are adhered to
•Implement and manage workplace development programmes
•Ensure direct cost variances are according to set standards
•Stock management
•Managing daily stock counts
•Implement waste and rework measures
•Material usage variance (muv) reports
•Variance detail analysis ( wip & stores)
•Bom costing investigations
•Bom to production comparison
•Daily production trending
•Assess & draw up process flows
•Budgets & forecasting
•Assess & prioritize low stock items
