To administer the manufacturing discipline to ensure timing and Quality performance.
Accountable to the Production Manager for effective operation of areas under his control
Control pattern production by adhering to rules/ system.
Ensure that only trained operators are used for Operators-ensure that his/her operators are multi skilled.
Ensure that labour is utilized efficiently to minimize machine downtimes.
To minimize material downtime.
Ensure shift handover takes place without stopping of machines
Time arrival at work and knock off times
Scrap analysis
Marked up samples are used for quality checks
Monitoring and adhering to the quality system
In process cooling jigs and fixtures used
Monitor tool change over time are within targets and report problems to Manager.
Ensure machines are available for maintenance.
Check the Delinquent Board and act accordingly
Ensure compliance to Company Environmental Policy

Qualifications
ND in Production Management or NQF 4 equivalent qualification

Minimum Experience:
5 years in production environment with unionized workforce

Ability to work under pressure
Able to motivate self and others
