3-5 years' factory experience
Our client, an established steel manufacturing business, is looking to employ a Production Supervisor with a technical/mechanical background and preferably some supervisory experience. This is a great opportunity for a young technically-minded person who is keen to grow their career in a busy and fast-pasced environment, while working hard, learning the ropes and putting in the hours.

Reporting to the Production Manager and overseeing various teams on multiple production lines
Ensuring that stock is managed and documentation is correct for smooth flow of normal production, as well as on projects
Running production and quality - looking out for maintenance issues etc.
Supervision of team - motivating, encouraging and training
Leading by example on technical and staff management
Client interaction and problem solving

Minimum matric + turner/similar technical qualification + 5 years in a heavy manufacturing environment + engineering understanding
Experienced with ISO 9001: processes, controls and documentation

Attentive to detail is critical to making production efficient; also the incumbent must not be afraid to get involved with equipment when the need arises
Reliable, flexible, knowledgeable and a team player

Salary: R15 000 - R20 000 per month TC including benefits (negotiable)
