Programme Coordinator

Johannesburg

A Healthcare providing Clinical Care to HIV positive adults, children and adolescents is currently looking for a dynamic and driven Programme Coordinator

Education, Training and Experience
• Tertiary degree/diploma in Nursing with relevant registration with the South African Nursing Council
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as Clinical Nurse Practitioner (CNP)
• Has been mentored in NIMART (Nurse Initiation and Management of Antiretroviral Therapy) and has been a nurse prescriber of ART (antiretroviral treatment) for at least 1 year
• Knowledge and experience of HIV/AIDS, TB and STI is essential
• Ability to interact with a range of stakeholders, from community members to Government officials
• Be able to perform assigned duties in a demanding work environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Understanding of Department of Health, provincial, district and local government operations
• Leadership qualities and & report writing skills
• Good communication skills – verbal and written and computer skills
• Willingness to travel within the District
• Have good interpersonal skills
• Be flexible to work at a number of sites
• Valid SA drivers licence and own transport is essential

Key performance areas

? Provides Technical Support for Clinical Training, Clinical Mentoring, Quality Improvement, General Management, Pharmacy Management and Data Management to DCS
? Provides technical assistance and conducts capacity building activities to THCA and DCS staff on the implementation of evidence-based combination prevention (specifically behavioural and structural HIV prevention).
? Builds strong coordinating relationships with stakeholder organizations and help facilitate the running of support groups
? Provide TA and conduct capacity building activities on the integration of released inmates into general population combination HIV prevention activities.
? Support DCS with the development/maintenance of tools/databases to assist with data analysis and reporting.
? Manage regional stakeholders and ensures engagement for successful programme growth and development
? Supports other THCA teams and activities across the region
