We are looking for a Purchasing Clerk for a national company in Port Elizabeth.

Minimum Requirements:
•2-3 years financial/commercial/administrative experience
•Computer literate in SAP (preferable) or other large ERP program
•Microsoft office proficient.

Duties and Responsibilities:
•Processing orders on Sales Orders. You will also be responsible for obtaining ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) dates on the orders to give the Billing team a guideline for dates on when stock will arrive. Also to obtain Vendor delivery notes when stock is delivered directly to the customer.
•The processing of all purchase orders for Sub-contractors, Sundry services, Inventory, general overheads and office expenses. Stock PO’s for stores will be requested from time to time.
•Raising of purchase requisitions for non-local (forex) vendors through central procurement and logistics (CPL) for non-local vendors. Close communications to be kept with the Central Procurement and Logistics Dept.
•Master vendor Data ownership and collection and liaison with Central Processing.
•Placing of all purchase orders onto the SAP system
•Attending to queries from the Creditors department
•Liaise with suppliers with regard to order confirmations and ETA’s (estimated time of arrival for goods)
•Follow up on open PO’s
•Query resolution
•Stock availability
•In transit report follow up
•Vendor master data maintenance
•Processing of all travel expenditure
•Ad hoc finance and administrative duties as required

This is a 6 month contract position
