QA PHARMACIST

One of Africa’s leading pharmaceutical company is urgently looking for a dynamic and driven QA Pharmacist based in West Rand, Johannesburg.

Education, Training and Experience

• B. Pharm
• Experience in a Pharmaceutical environment with QA experience
• Computer Literate
• Valid Registration with SAPC

Key performance areas

Release of finished goods
• Plan & coordinate the flow of manufacturing, Packing & QC Release reports & documents for timeous review by the documentation Auditors
• Ensure timeous release of finished documentation to the Hold Store Controller
• Ensure that where necessary C of A’s are completed & forwarded together with copies of the related documentation to the contract giver
• Control releases of S5 & S6 goods together with the Hold Store Controller, Pharmacists & Contract givers as per procedure
• Releases goods on receipt of approval by contract giver

Documentation
• Ensure that any deviations are reported, ensure to follow the deviation process & that approval is obtained from the Contract Giver prior to continuation of the process
• Ensure that the documentation referrals are completed prior to the batch release
• Timeously attends to Control Giver queries & complies reports detailing findings with the applicant
• On release of a batch, the audited documentation together with the retention samples must be appropriately archived
• Generates a weekly report on all weekly releases

Functions
• Manages the QA inspector’s functions on shop floor level
• Where necessary, must organize effective coverage during absenteeism
• Act in the capacity of deputy Responsible Pharmacist
