Permanent, full time position
Location: Garankuwa, Gauteng
Salary: R 26 000 and negotiable.

Matric / Grade 12 (or equivalent)
A relevant tertiary qualification (Engineering, Production Management or Quality Assurance)

• Computer literacy in MS Excel / Word and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of quality principles, APQP, SPC, Core Tools, FMEA
• Excellent understanding of ISO TS 16949 as well as VDA 6.3
• Proven QMS and Process Auditing Skills and qualifications
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position, preferably automotive industry
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including negotiation, influencing and report writing skills.
• High level of problem solving and analytical skills

DUTIES:
• Obtain KPI’s and business goals and translate into achievable objectives for QA department.
• Implement, monitor, measure, analyse and take corrective actions on objectives
• Report on KPI’s and business goals as required.
• Develop customer relations by communicating with and providing service excellence
• Take corrective actions such as containment, replacement supplies, problem solving, etc on all customer complaints and non-conformances.
• Co-ordinate and chair task teams responsible for corrective actions as required.
• Coordinate activities of customer site representation.
• Obtain, monitor and evaluate customer & internal results by use of charts.
• Take corrective actions by use of relevant quality tools
• Optimise the turnaround time for corrective actions, sample returns, warranties, etc.
• Assist in process reviews and work instruction changes and training.
• Provide feedback to relevant personnel pertaining to customer complaints and quality problems.
• Assist in training and awareness relating to customer quality specs and on both the QMS and EMS.
• Conduct quality management system process audits ( ISO/TS 16949, VDA 6.3 ).
• Issue audit report, assist in corrective actions and close out as required.
• Manage Certificate of Conformance as per customer requirements.
• Review customer specific requirements and ensure process all documentation is updated.
• Manage all project related deliverables such as APQP, ISIR, Production readiness, pre-launch reviews, FMEA and control plans in conjunction with the project leader.
• Support Project Leader to resolve open issues (LOP) timeously and effectively.
• Ensure that quality- and technical related project risks are clearly defined, properly communicated and documented.
• Prepare and report on PPM, Top 5, SPC and other reports when needed.
• Perform other general tasks such as : maintain FMEA and control plans, oversee replacement parts, conduct cutting table inspection & hide marking reviews, periodic process, product and dock audits.
