Receptionist ; Hospital environment
PURPOSE OF POSITION
Admit and discharge patients in a professional, friendly and timeous manner.
Create and maintain goodwill with doctors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Attend to patients/customers/visitors both telephonically and in person
Capture and record patient information on the Hospital System
General administration duties
Receipts, deposits and ensure accurate recording of all necessary payments
Discharging of patients
Direct patients/visitors to wards and doctors rooms and with patient enquiries
Liaising with Bed Bookings Clerk regarding bed bookings
Obtaining authorisation for patient admissions
RECEPTION EXPERIENCE – PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN A HOSPITAL ENVIRONMENT ADVANTAGEOUS
COMPUTER LITERATE – MS WORD/EXCEL
KNOWLEDGE OF MEDICAL AID SCHEMES ADVANTAGEOUS
