The role of the Regional Financial Manager is to assist with the achievement of the overall strategy and business goals for the company in Cape Town, by ensuring earnings growth and sustainable profitability through sound business decision support through proactive provision of financial analyses and maintaining group approved internal controls and managing all aspects of the finance and administration function. The incumbent will ensure compliance with all corporate governance and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maximise profitability and sustainability
• Manage and ensure efficient provision of:
• Budgeting & forecasting
• month end reporting and monthly management accounts
• interim and year-end processes and
• the timely submission of financial reports to group
• Ensure financial statements are IFRS compliant
• Responsible for any applicable statutory requirements
• Ensure complete and accurate financial reporting for all entities within the business which include forecasting, budgeting, consolidation, and tax planning and structuring
• Cash flow management
• Working capital management
• Review the long outstanding debtors listing with credit control managers and assist timely with collection
• Be part of the senior management team of the company
• Participate in the development of the business strategy and strategic objectives as part of the executive management team of the company
• Capex budgeting and management
• Input to proposal and tender documents and review thereof
• Review of contracts for commercial terms and authorisation of payments where applicable
• The candidate will be recommending refinement of systems and processes to promote effectiveness and efficiency
• Will be responsible for implementation and maintenance of the region’s risk governance process;
• Ensure that the key business risk owners formulate and maintain required controls to reduce the risk to acceptable residual level
• Interact with other assurance providers like internal and external auditors to effectiveness and efficiency of the risk management process
• Implement and maintain financial controls
• Prepare tax computations and submissions including for any allowance. E.g. Research and Development
• Be responsible for all finance, administration and governance aspects of the integration of businesses acquired by the group into the region

• Qualified CA (SA) with at least 5 years post qualifying experience

• 5 years post qualifying experience
• A detailed knowledge of accounting procedures, computerized accounting principles of internal control, company law and taxation is essential
• Strong financial management experience and skills
