PURPOSE
The incumbent will be responsible for the entire operations process in the regions branches and plan for the smooth and most cost effective running of the department.

We are looking for someone that other companies would call a GM.
He will be the 2 IC.
Operations Management background is essential.
This is a senior management post

EDUCATION ,
EXPERIENCE AND
COMPETENCIES

Knowledge of vehicle tracking systems
Track record in management of skilled/ semi-skilled labour
Experience in Union negotiations
Proficiency in Microsoft programmes
Able to implement change and plan for maximum cost efficiencies customer satisfaction service management
Grade 12
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in working with a SHEQ system
Hands on approach to work. Fully numerate, literate, logical and can present knowledge to others
Ability to facilitate and debate vigorously
Be in possession of unendorsed, valid driver’s licence and have willingness to travel
Be self-motivated and assertive
Ability to see the big picture
OSHAS 18001 Systems-Implementation & Auditing
SAMTRAC Management/National Diploma-Safety Management
Knowledge of contractor’s packs and respective Health and Safety audits as per client’s site requirements.
Accident/Incident Investigations
HIRA-Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment
Computer Literacy-Word, Excel, Power Point & Microsoft Office
Stock management and control processes



KEY PERFORMANCE
MEASURABLES

Cost per KM reduction with regards to vehicles by type.
Reduction in accident claims.
Improve efficiency in respect of number of services per vehicle type and reduction in cost per service.
Consistent and accurate reporting of KPI’s for the operations department
Manage and reduce overtime costs
Manage and reduce materials & COS costs
Legal Compliance & Appointments
Implementation of relevant Procedures & Policies
Contractor Control
Incident/Accident Investigations
Internal Training requirements
Internal Audits
