Job Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Information Systems department of this 100-year old manufacturing household name! This brand new role has been created to assist the Senior Business Intelligence Developer in Report Development, Data Structures and Modelling.

Educational and qualification requirements:
• An IT/ IS related qualification
• Data analysis/Business analysis qualification
• Computer science and/or statistics
• Grade 12

Experience required:
• At least 3 years working experience in a Data Analysis / Report Writing role

Competencies and requirements:
• Good Analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Must be able to provide accurate information and have attention to detail
• Microsoft Excel – (Advanced Level)
• Oracle SQL – Basic/Intermediate level (advantageous)
• SharePoint working knowledge advantageous
• SSRS Reporting knowledge (essential)
• Be able to script Microsoft SQL Server Reports
• Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills

Key Areas of responsibility:
1. Writing of regular reports
• Compile Daily, Weekly and Monthly standard reports.
• Make all reasonable efforts to ensure that data in the reports are correct, relevant and current.
• Ensure that reports are compiled and distributed to recipients on time.
• Ensure that recipients only receive reports which they are authorised to receive.

2. Automated regular reports
• Plan and execute the automation of regular reports on to a web-based report framework.
• Reports on a web-menu interface.

3. Compile ad-hoc reports
• As and when required on instruction by Snr. Business Intelligence Developer or similarly qualified and senior staff members
