Research Clinician

SM Healthcare Placements is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals for the position of Research Clinician in Durban, Kwazulu Natal for an exciting role within an International NGO in the health care field.

Education, Training and Experience

• MBChB
• Valid registration with the HPCSA and MPS registration
• Clinical Research Experience
• Interest in HIV Vaccine & Pathogenesis Research
• HIV clinical experience
• Clinical trial experience (preferable)
• Computer literacy (MS office)
• Due to operational requirements, this position may occasionally require early and late weekday work as well as Saturday work.

Key performance areas

• To contribute to running several studies in the HIV Vaccine & Pathogenesis programme under the supervision of the Head of the Programme
• To conduct clinical activities related to clinical trials and CAPRISA studies, including conducting screening and enrollment procedures; clinical evaluation of study participants, follow-up assessment and management of AE/SAEs.
