• 2-3 years relevant experience in a retail hardware environment
• Matric / Grade 12 essential
• In depth knowledge of relevant merchandise/electrical, etc
• Computer literate
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent customer service and after sales service
• Drive promotion and sale of stock
• Monitor stock levels, order stock and ensure correct stock is received and labelled
• Remove damaged stock
• Reduce shrinkage by minimising breakages
• Assist with annual stock takes
• Understanding of procedures for goods collection, delivery, dispatch, ordering and returns
• Liaison with suppliers, merchandisers and buyers including other departments
• General understanding of competitors
