Core function and purpose

• Responsible for the planning, implementing and directing of Sales and Marketing related activities of the company to maintain a consistent
trajectory of growth in line with agreed budgets and strategies.
• The role involves the management of all marketing efforts/activities, as well as management of marketing/sales personnel and
marketing/sales budgets/targets.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

• Manage the development and implementation of the sales tactical plans
• Build and maintain a dynamic sales force, through effective training, recruitment and selection processes including Coaching / Training and
motivation to achieve objectives.
• Set individual sales targets with sales team
• Co-ordinate sales action plans for individual salespeople
• Oversee the activities and performance of the sales team
• Evaluate performance of sales staff
• Assist with the development of sales presentations and proposals
• Investigate lost sales and customer accounts
• Track, collate and interpret sales figures
• Develop and implement a world class forecasting methodology and supporting processes
• The provision of annual, quarterly and monthly sales revenue forecasts and reports
• Develop pricing schedules and rates, and effectively manage the company’s gross profit
• Control expenses and monitor budgets
• Effectively manage finished goods Inventory through forecasting and customer review processes
• Conduct market research and competitor and customer analysis
• Work with agency to develop a Brand and strategic Marketing Plan
• Develop a Marketing Budget to support Sales Targets

Education and Experience

• Commercial degree, diploma or related professional qualification (or 5 years of relevant experience
• Understanding of Brand and Marketing Management and the ability to implement in accordance with approved plans
• Experience in all aspects of planning and implementing sales strategy
• Technical sales skills
• Proven experience in customer relationship management
• Knowledge of market research
