We are looking for a Sales Representative that will:
• Contribute to the organisation’s goal of promoting its offerings and achieving sales results.
• Be responsible for selling WorldsView™ Academy products and services which help organisations to be effective in a healthy way.
• Work with customers to find what they want, create solutions and ensure a smooth sales process.
• Work to find new sales leads through business directories, client referrals, etc.
• Focus on “inside sales”, which typically involves cold calling for new clients while in an office setting, and “outside sales”, which involves visiting clients in the field with new or existing clients.
• Take full ownership of and comply with the WVA sales processes and systems.
• Do regular sales analysis and reporting to enhance sales effectiveness.
• Keeps senior management informed of accomplishments, ongoing issues and improvement actions needed to achieve business results.
The candidate must have the following experience and qualifications:
• Relevant Degree, Diploma, Certificate or work experience.
• Direct selling experience: 1-2 years
• Track record of generating own leads and driving sales process to closure
• Interest and experience in working on Government contracts and experience in tender cycles, compiling tenders and having won tenders will be an advantage
• Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale.
• Knowledge of and/or experience in Organisation Development will be an advantage.
• Representing organisations at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations.
• Challenge any objections with a view to getting the customers to buy.
• Creating detailed proposal documents, often as part of a formal bidding process wich is largely dictated by the prospective customer.
• Reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.

Proven and/or demonstrated ability to be able to carry out the following:

1. Market and Product Knowledge
• Understand and work within the boundaries of the territories, market segments and strategic community growth requirements
• Understand, synthesise and communicate issues being experienced by customer organisations
• Understand and work within the boundaries of Government procurement processes and structures.

2. Lead Generation Activities
• Attend and/or host sales and marketing events and engagements
• Engage with sales and marketing events and campaigns to generate and identify leads
• Collect, capture and allocate leads that are generated by Marketing efforts
3. Sales Activities
• Apply the Value Selling methodology and the WorldsView™ Academy selling process to move leads to opportunities, and opportunities through the sales stages to close, knowledge of this methodology will be an advantage
• Consult with the relevant product specialists/technical experts to identify prospective customers’ issues and an appropriate value solution
• Draw up and submit/present proposals and quotations to customers
• Negotiate and close deals
• Engage in key account planning and management activities
• Meet sales targets
4. Sales Administration and Reporting
• Be able to use the sales technology platforms and social media tools
• Update and maintain a sales pipeline in
• Report updates to the sales coordinator, sales manager and product heads
• Carry out all administration and reporting requirements associated with sales activities

• Ability to speak in a friendly way to customers and potential customers, listening to their needs and helping communicate options to them
• Not every customer is going to be a sale. Being able to bounce back if you lose a sale is key to this job.
