RESPONSIBILITIES :
Sales Management
Ensure customers in the traditional roofing markets e.g. truss manufacturers, traditional roofing partners orders are fulfilled in line with the company’s standards.
Able to provide a basic estimation and provide the basic technical expertise with regards to installation baton spacing, packing the roof too tightly, product knowledge of accessories such as undertile membrane, technical knowledge on issues such as efflorescents, colour variation, overhang, pitch.
Ensure sales service levels to customers complying with the companies pricing policy.
Regular customer visits within the 80/20 principle as per the customer segmentation model for the region and the call cycle.
Ensure good internal relationships with branch managers, buyers, procurement managers and the rest of the team
Ensure accurate quoting and pricing for projects.
Ensure timeous completion of discount structures and contracts for customers and projects respectively.
Adequate communication to customers
Proper interaction and communication with Marketing, Technical, Export and Specifying to secure projects.
Market Understanding
Search for and report up to date information on market players, site jobs and business trends or territory
Perform customer segmentation and rating, applying BU criteria
Customer Orientation and Development & CRM
Monitor and report customers’ needs on the CRM system.
Build customers satisfaction, loyalty, and trust through relationship and business partner model of management.
Solving customers’ problems related to products, systems or services.
Develop the understanding of the customers’ requirements by liaising with internal partners (Sales Administration, Production) and propose improvement of working processes.

Business Understanding and Development
Analyze and report the business potential of your territory, including customers and prospects
Monitor and achieve sales budgets
Product and systems knowledge

Financial Management
Manage call cycle plan to optimize kilometers and vehicle running costs.
Manage cell phone usage and data costs.
Monitor Sales, ASP and turnover and volumes against Sales budget.
Monitor customer accounts and financial situations
Resolve customer queries pertaining to payment of accounts.
Ensure adequate cross function communication to minimize customer request for credit
Ensure that customers discount structures are in line with their credit limits and volume purchases.
Submit monthly financial reports as set out. I.e. fuel cards, purchase card.

Safety Management
Responsible for all safety aspects of your vehicle.
Obeying the rules of the road.
Keeping to speed limits
Ensure that you wear your PPE at all times when you visit our customers’ sites and our sites.
Ensure a safety first attitude using the visually felt leadership principles, whether at branches, at the plant or on site.


QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE :
Matric (Grade 12)
Sales and Marketing Degree or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years experience in the construction industry with a strong commercial focus
At least 3 years sales representative experience
Valid unendorsed Code 8 Driver's license
MS Office, SAP & CRM an advantage

BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES :
Strong track-record in selling in the roofing , building/construction industry
Knowledge of cost estimation, estimating software
Experience in working toward and achieving revenue targets
Drawings interpretations to establish cost estimates, architectural and design experience
