A leading manufacturing concern and leader in the FIELD OF Industrial Manufacturing industry, is looking for a qualified Artisan to join their dynamic team in their CT office

Knowledge/Education
Relevant Red Seal Trade Test qualification or equivalent
Minimum of 5 - 8 years of relevant working experience within the engineering or metal industry
CNC Milling operating experience is a pre-requisite
Extensive knowledge of power tools
Strength to handle materials and tools (physically fit)
Good hand-eye coordination
A hands-on practical approach to the job
Full understanding and knowledge of Health and Safety Rules
Ability to work under challenging conditions
Sound communication skills (understand, read and write English) Must be prepared to work overtime when required

Valid SA ID Book
Live in CT

Key Function:

Examine detailed drawings or specifications to establish the job, material and equipment requirements
Program and set-up tooling in the CNC milling machine when manufacturing different components
Perform routine and preventative maintenance practices on existing equipment
Slotting or drilling metal stock or components
Ensure that the quality of work meets the required standards
Fit and assemble metal parts and tools or sub-assemblies
Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools
Check accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools or sub-assemblies
Abide by the regulations as set out in the Occupational Health and Safety Act
Support the Department Manager in ensuring compliance with timekeeping and productivity within the department
Assist with monitoring the quality and efficiency of team progress and report any issues or possible improvements
Any other ad-hoc tasks, as agreed with the Department Manager
