Our client, head office situated in East Lynne is urgently looking for a Senior General Manager with extensive experience to assist the Director in running 5 companies – storage solutions industry. To start asap
Initially 6 Month Fixed Term contract with the possibility of going permanent. Remuneration will depend on qualificaitons, experience and entirely up to management discretions. Performance Bonus will be considered
Grade 12
Relevant Financial/Operations/Logistics’ degree/diploma will be an added advantage
Must be fully computer literate: MS Office (Word, Excel) Pastel
Min 5 -7 years relevant experience as a Senior General Manager , assisting with the day to day running of the various companies or a company
Must have strong managerial experience and the ability to deal with staff
Strong Financial acumen/experience
Strong planning acumen/experience
Willing to travel in Gauteng to the various companies
Duties:
Direct and coordinate activities of businesses or departments concerned with the production, pricing, sales, and/or distribution of products.
Manage staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties.
Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with board members, organization officials, and staff members as necessary.
Determine staffing requirements, and interview, hire and train new employees, or oversee those personnel processes.
Monitor businesses to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide needed
Oversee activities directly related to providing services.
Direct and coordinate organization's financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency.
Determine goods and services to be sold, and set prices and credit terms, based on forecasts of customer demand services while staying within budgetary limits.
