Opportunity exists for a Senior HR Specialist – Talent & Succession (Johannesburg)
This is a 4 months contract
Salary = R 55 000 p/m

Qualifications, Experience and Training:
Degree or Diploma in Human Resources
5 – 7 years’ experience in Recruitment, HR administration and Succession Management
Applied Labour law
Performance Management systems and processes
EE plans and reporting
MS Office
VIP System

Job Description:

Oversee the Recruitment and Selection Process:
•Manage the implementation of sound recruitment policies and procedures to ensure effective staff resourcing
•Recruit according to the approved capacity and vacancy report
•Implement various selection processes such as competency based interviews, assessments and different mediums to attract the correct candidates
•Ensure all Regional HR staff are properly trained on all recruitment and selection methods, processes and procedures
•Act as a panel member as required
•Analyse recruitment trends and exit interview information

Implement and Manage the Induction Program:
•Ensure that the induction programme is developed, maintained and implemented throughout the Organisation for all new employees

Implement and monitor the Performance Management System:
•Facilitate the implementation of the Performance Management System, to identify good performance, identify training requirements and non-performance areas
•Ensure setting of individual performance objectives are in line with the need of the Organisation
•Ensure all managers and staff are trained on the Performance Management System
•Monitor the application and compliance of the Performance Management System process and procedures in all Regions. Address non-compliance accordingly
•Develop and manage a succession planning process which manages staff development and career progression in terms of identified career paths and Organisational needs

Communication and change management:
•Ensure communication related to the department is accurate, transparent and continuous
•Assist in the facilitation and implementation of change and transformation processes and activities. Assist employees to understand what the change mean to them
•Provide ongoing guidance and support to maintain enthusiasm and commitment to the change process

Reporting:
•Manage the upload and maintenance of the HRIS (HR Information System) related to the Talent and succession function,
•Monitor trends, and implement corrective actions
•Report on a monthly/quarterly /annual basis, according to the set standard, requirements, guidelines and agreed frequency

People Management:
•Effective management of direct reports to ensure constant delivery of quality service
•Manage and monitor direct reports’ performance against agreed targets and goals
•Compile, implement and monitor personal development plans for direct reports
•Continuously direct, coach and guide staff within the team
•Create a culture within the department that is conducive to teamwork and self-development

Project Management:
•Ensure projects in the responsible area are implemented and facilitated successfully
