Develop and maintain enterprise governance frameworks, standards and practices relating to risk and implement them effectively; Develop and implement processes to assess and/or monitor the effectiveness of risk frameworks / adherence to standards as appropriate; Act as an internal subject matter expert and develop capability around risk governance and decision processes aligned with operating model and risk strategy; Support the maintenance of risk related mandates and charters and ensure their ongoing relevance; Provide risk governance support for EXCO and its relate Senior Management Working Groups and related forums; Represent the Risk Management Unit projects or policy initiatives impacting or governing risk governance and control; Work collaboratively with internal divisions in line with their oversight functions to identify and implement consistent and effective approaches to risk governance and control-based activities; Conduct research on industry leading practices for risk governance matters pertaining to the medical scheme industry including board practices relating to risk governance; and Undertake any other activities related to the above as may be assigned from time to time by the responsible Chief Officer.

Deg or equivalent qualification in Risk Management; Postgraduate qualification in Risk and Compliance Management/ Auditing would be advantageous; Minimum 8 years functional risk and compliance management experience; 5 years of which should be at a management level; Risk management experience, including knowledge of risk management governance and controls;
