Job Title: Senior Surveyor

Job Description:

The incumbent will be required to provide efficient and effective underground and surface survey, monitoring, control and information.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Perform surface and underground mine surveying using both GPS and Total Stations.
Perform and execute slope stability monitoring on surface and underground.
Install lines, grades and profile development ends.
Measure and reconcile month-end production statistics.
Ensure personal and co-workers adherence and compliance to Security and Company SHE objectives.
Required to work according to the Mine’s Code of Practice, and report any observations of this not being done

Minimum Requirements:

Chamber of Mines Advanced Survey and Mine Valuation Certificates
Mine Surveyor’s Government Certificate of Competency
5 years’ Survey experience
Valid driver’s license (EB/08)
Good Computer Skills (MS Office Suite) – knowledge of the following will be an advantage: Microstation CADD, SURPAC, WinMinop, GMSI Pegs Lite, Geomos

Other Skills/Competencies:

Good communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
Be independent, proactive thinker and have the ability to do own job planning.
