A manufacturing in Benoni is looking for a Shift Fitter
Description
Main Job Responsibilities: ? Attend to production machine breakdowns ? Must ensure breakdowns are quickly reacted to and that breakdowns are repaired effectively ? Assist Electrician on breakdowns ? Carry out inspection of machinery as stated on work orders ? Apply lockout and tag out to machinery during maintenance ? Repair or replace any worn out machine part identified during inspection ? Attend to daily inspection sheets and record all defects ? Assist on Machine Modifications ? Perform lubrication to machinery ? Record any findings or recommendations on work orders ? Work orders to be handed to Foreman Qualification and Experience: ? Grade 12 or equivalent ? Must be a qualified Fitter (N4-N6 in Mechanical Engineering Qualification) ? Must have ten (10) years of experience in the role ? Sound Mechanical fault finding experience ? Hydraulic experience ? Pneumatic experience ? Machine turning experience ? Some electrical experience ? Boiler making experience Knowledge, Skills and Attributes: ? Basic knowledge and understanding of all compliance applicable to the role ? Good communication and interpersonal skills ? Able to work well Under pressure
