Sourcing Coordinator

Salary: R18 000 neg.

Requirements:
• Degree level education or equivalent – preferably Supply Chain Management
• Experience in a similar sourcing role within retail across the Far East
• Understanding of accessories/garment/clothing manufacturing and other processes in the retail industry
• Strong networking and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication and people management skills
• 3-5 years’ experience in negotiating and developing relationships with suppliers

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Developing the sourcing strategy to meet the requirements of the merchandise Department
• Documents performance to action plans and timelines for assigned sourcing projects.
• Ensuring the right mix of suppliers and the optimum number of sourcing options
• Establishes supplier base in conformance with guidance from merchandisers
• Supporting the development of the seasonal fashion strategy and sourcing budget process
• Ensuring the competency of suppliers in order to maximize the in-house market share and increase and drive the improvement of the perating margins
• Managing and selecting the manufacturer base to fulfill sourcing requirements
• Maximizing supplier performance and supporting the company’s business plan
• Evaluates current and potential suppliers in coordination with Supplier Liaison Manager
• Works with Supplier Liaison Manager to guarantee supply for all portfolios
