POSITION: Store Manager Retail Industry
SALARY : R 15 000.00 – R 25 000.00
Location : Vereeniging
Working Hours: Normal Retail Hours

Minimum Requirements:
? Matric
? Diploma/Degree in Retail Management
? Minimum of five(5) years working as a Store Manager in the Retail Environment
? Driver’s License
? Excellent references
? No Criminal Record

Job Description:

1. Retail Floor Appearance
? Merchandising
? Ticketing
? Signage
? Layout

2. Sales
? Must ensure that the monthly sales target for the store are met. Each individual sales person must have a detailed budget broken into days. The Store Manager must set and ensure that these sales targets are met and if a potential shortfall is identified, the balance must be made up by the Store Manager.

3. Staff Management
The Store Manager has full control and responsibility of the sales force, including:
? Budgets
? Discipline
? Appraisal
? Coaching
? Lunchtime tables
? Leave schedules
? Daily and weekly staff meetings

4. Training and Coaching
The Store Manager is responsible for the following training in store:
? Customer service
? Sales
? Telephone techniques

6. Reporting
? Staff Performance – Actual vs. Budget
? Turnover – Actual vs. Budget
? Sales by Department
? GP by Department
? Shrinkage
? Gross Profit
? Refunds
? Stock Turn Ratio
