Purpose of the job:
Supervisors the activities of contractors, consultants and subordinates in the development and implementation of a reliability centred mechanical maintenance program for MWSPC.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Ensures the mechanical maintenance team, facilities, resources, and systems are developed and implemented before plant commissioning.
• Supervisors the assigned Mechanical Maintenance section(s) activities at MWSPC to ensure no harm to personnel and reliable plant operation in line with Business Objectives and a continuous improvement program.
• Responsibility includes mechanical maintenance activities, such as preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, and break down maintenance and plant turnarounds.
• Ensures all mechanical maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with MWSPC’s approved safety standards and procedures.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Excellent relationship building skills (internal and external)
• Strong work ethic and be able to adhere to company, policies, and standard business etiquette.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in English required,
• Self-starter with minimal supervision for routine activities.
• Extensive computer skills in using Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) plus other software pertinent to the work performed would be advantageous.
• Ability to work with diverse populations, and foster a cooperative team environment.
• Bi-lingual or multi-lingual is a plus
• International work experience in remote camp environment.
Qualifications and experience:
• Bachelor's degree Engineering discipline or equivalent preferred.
• 10+ years of direct experience as a mechanical or maintenance supervisor, within a Fortune 200 company, such as: Petroleum, Chemical, Fertilizer/Mining or other Industrial Manufacturing organizations.
• Experience in mineral processing is an asset.
