SUSTAINABILITY MANAGER – WHITERIVER:
Purpose of Position: to proactively and sustainably implement and drive the corporate social responsibility (CSR) obligations of the company.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Relevant qualification
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in sustainability and in planning, budgeting, implementing and effectively communicating sustainability initiatives within a group or in the agricultural sector.
MAIN DUTIES:
• Implementing innovative solutions that will create sustainable value to the group
• Creating sustainability within the group
• Reducing waste within the group
• Drive efficiencies within the group
• De-risking the group
• Creating a better image in the market place for the group
• Promoting the group’s corporate social responsibility
• Prospecting for and developing appropriate “sustainability” orientated strategies for the group
• Strategies need to be appropriately researched, planned, budgeted for, marketed, implemented and analyzed
• Identifying the best “sustainability” orientated projects and driving the inclusive implementation of these projects
• Aside from creating strategies, the person is responsible for communicating and marketing sustainability campaigns to internal and external stakeholders
• Will work closely with HR, certain work colleagues, farm workers and communities to educate and inform them on the plans and strategies
• Measure the “sustainability” performance through performance reporting to ensure productive implementation of projects / initiatives
• Managing of internal and external communications relating to the sustainability initiatives of the group
