Collaborative Careers are assisting a large manufacturing concern to recruit for a qualified Electrical / Mechanical technician

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will fulfill the necessary requirements within the Plant Maintenance department to meet the Company’s objectives by providing technical support and administration, to ensure a facility that enables the production of vehicles of a high quality standard, in a cost effective manner:

Duties :

• Fault diagnostics on PLC’s (Toyopuc and Mitsubishi), Drives, Robots, Lifters, Ovens and Conveyor Systems

• Planned Maintenance – Must be able to draw up and implement maintenance schedules.

• Condition Monitoring – must be able to monitor the condition of sophisticated automatic machinery and

implement and conduct pro-active repairs and actions.

• Improvement of equipment – must be able to initiate root cause analysis and implement countermeasures to prevent re-occurrences and improvements.

• Adherence to Company ISO requirements and Toyota standards

• Development of apprentices and staff

• Progress reports to management

• Management of employee effectiveness

• Legal Compliance activities for Plant

• Cost monitoring and reduction activities.

• Quality control systems for section

• Ensure compliance with Corporate Governance

Min Req :

• N5 + Trade Test – Electrical/Mechanical + 4yrs post experience or National Diploma (S4) – Electrical/Mechanical with 3 yrs post qualification experience.

• Good technical knowledge of automated control systems is essential

• Good working knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Robotics, and PLC (Toyopuc and Mitsubishi)

• Paint/ Assembly Plant experience essential.

• Knowledge of ISO 9000 and ISO 14001 requirements

• High level of computer literacy

• Shift work, overtime

• Project Management experience would be advantageous
