REQUIREMENTS
• A tertiary qualification in mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in implementing a PPM program.
• Be computer literate including Microsoft Office and some knowledge of an ERP system. Experience in JDE would be an advantage.
• Proven leadership skills and the ability to contribute at a senior level.
• Analytical abilities with a proven track record in problem solving and decision making.
• A Government certificate of competency (GCC) would be an advantage
• Experience in handling IR related issues.
• Have extensive experience in SHER leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Leading and controlling of the maintenance workshop and budgets.
• Implementing and maintaining maintenance and condition monitoring systems.
• Analysing machine efficiencies and downtime and implementing corrective actions for improvements.
• Improving equipment reliability with innovative upgrades.
• Assessing risks and managing strategic machine and mould spares.
• Managing projects and associated budgets.
• GMR2 appointee in terms of OH&S Act.
• Preparing and presenting regular management reports.
• Motivating and managing a team of technical specialists, both internal and external.
• Partnering with production department to optimise manufacturing efficiencies through continuous improvement activities.
