R700k – R850k plus commission, cell, petrol

Qualification and Skills:
Commerce or related post graduate degree / diploma or appropriate NQF level qualification.

Experience:
5 or more years’ experience in the telecommunications field and having managed sales teams.
Experience in consultative selling process and management of large portfolios.
Supervision of sales teams responsible for key account management, upselling and new sales generation activities.

Key responsibilities:

• Business Development so as to ensure that targets are met within appropriate time frames
• Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the assigned portfolio that ensures attainment of company sales targets;
• Prepares action plans by individuals as well as by team for effective search of sales leads and prospects;
• Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate the assigned account portfolio;
• Assists in the development and implementation of target marketing plans as needed;
• Maintains contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
• Management of Resources (Human and Financial)
• Ensures that all human resources are appropriately managed in terms of performance and development including performance management and career development initiatives;
• Regular meetings held with staff to discuss progress of individual areas of accountability;
• Assist with staffing and budgeting projections on each business unit;
• Ensures that the spend within the business unit complies with business plan and organisational processes;
• Mentoring (including training thereof) of all direct reports in line with their performance management objectives.
• Manages Performance within scope of control
• Ensures that all Account Managers meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals and closes;
• Manages opportunity pipeline and generates credible committed business forecasts;
• Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance;
• Provides senior management with business intelligence (i.e. expansion or rightsizing plans), customer budgets and market demands;
• Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines;
• Establish internal service level standards with the Network, Support and Service divisions to ensure the total customer experience (TCE);
• Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin;
• Maintains accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports submitted by Account Managers;
• Creates and conducts proposal presentations and RFP responses.

Contribute to the Firm:
• Recruits, tests, and hires Account Managers based on criteria agreed upon by senior management
• Sets examples for Account Managers in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational and selling skills, and work habits
