A leading, global agribusiness in Stellenbosch has a vacancy for a Trade Assist.

Job Description:

* Timely and accurate data capture in Trading One (position management software).
* In charge of the daily follow up and maintenance of all positions (past and future, including but not limited to MtM valuation and PNL exposure).
* Assure proper internal communication between desks throughout (Front Office, Operations, Product Control, Freight and Finance desks).
* Provide support to traders on a daily basis in the preparation and verification of position reporting (exposure and PNL).
* Responsible for daily maintenance of open positions (physical trade applications, paper trade allocations, washout proposals, MtM curve
rolling/modifications, market daily prices verification and uploading).
* Daily coordination of pricing to be done (versus cash).
* Check validity of fixing orders, recon daily broker statement and capture executed orders.
* Daily derivatives reconciliation.
* Meet requests for ad hoc information.

Requirements:

* Minimum 3 years’ working experience.
* Qualification preferred (BCom).
* Risk Management background is beneficial.
* Beneficial: A grasp on fund administration and understanding of market terminals and trading environment is beneficial.
* Grains background would be beneficial, but is not compulsory.
* Solid numerical skills and understanding of reconciliations.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Afrikaans and English.
* Detail-oriented and highly organised.
* Team player and able to work on your own.
* Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure in a fast-paced professional office environment.
* Competency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and web-based applications.
