Our client, a leading Gold Mining Group is looking to employ an experienced and qualified Unit Manager: Remuneration - Total Reward at their Corporate Office in Libanon near Westonaria in the Gauteng Province.

The appointee should:

Be in possession of a valid B.Com degree or equivalent
Be a qualified Global Remuneration Practitioner (GRP)
Have at least 5 – 10 years’ experience in a related role, of which 5 should have been at management level or experience in a functional/specialist area
Be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package
Demonstrate basic understanding of the relevant HR Legislation:
Primary labour legislation that impacts on a business unit
Basic Conditions of Employment Act (Act 75 of 1997)
Labour Relations Act (Act 66 of 1995)
Compensation for Occupational Injury and Disease Act 130 of 1993 (COIDA)
Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Gold Occupational Health Centre

Key responsibilities includes:

Manage the finances of the Remuneration Sub-Discipline to achieve Business Unit objectives
Contribute to the development and implementation of the Human Capital strategy by making recommendations on relevant policies, practices, processes, systems and initiatives
Strategies, research, develop and review appropriate Human Capital methodologies, systems and processes and adopt best practices
Assist in developing Remuneration frameworks, policies and procedures for the Group
Conduct annual salary surveys and trend analyses and make suitable Remuneration recommendations
Conduct Total Reward market research and make suitable Remuneration recommendations
Implement salary recommendations (in conjunction with Line Managers)
Conduct Job matching exercises for market related remuneration benchmarking purposes
Keep abreast of and research Incentive scheme best practices in similar industries and make suitable recommendations
Develop guidelines for the annual Incentive scheme
Facilitate Remuneration and Reward information sessions
Assist in developing and implementing the Employee Value Proposition (EVP) programme
Provide accurate and timeous information for the Company Annual Report
Apply technical knowledge and insight into how the legislative and regulatory environment impacts on pay information for employees
