Vice President Engineering Vacancy

Must have the following:

1 BSc Degree or National Diploma in Engineering
2 GCC (Government Certificate of Competency)
3 Executive Management Leadership Development Programme or equivalent
4 Senior Management position within the Mining Environment
5 Registered with ECSA as Pr Eng

Responsibilities:

1 Provide Engineering expertise and advise Executive Management on strategic issues within the scope of the Engineering function
2 Interpret business and Engineering strategies and plans for the Company in order to translate into the vision, strategic and operational plans
3 Analyse benchmarked implications of medium and long term cost effective opportunities, make recommendations to the Company
4 Investigate business implications of medium and long term planning using knolwedge of pure theory and knowledge of current trends
5 Identify and evaluate opportunities and synergies both inside and outside current mine areas
6 Overseer, direct and evaluate engineering programs, plans and criteria for a variety of activities and ensure alignment to business needs
7 Participate in the selection of Consulting Engineers, oversee and review their work product
8 Manage stakeholders and / or acts as a liaison between agencies or work unit and other agencies
9 Consult and or negotiate regularly with other corporate functions to achieve outcomes favourable to the discipline or the resolution of issues that affect the discipline or its people
