Welding Engineer
The incumbent will be responsible for providing welding services for several departments; hand and co-ordinate multiple welding projects; develop, qualify and provide technical expertise to support the fabrication of equipment; review sub-contractor procedure etc; oversee welding procedure qualifications and generate same. This position is based in Port Elizabeth.

Qualifications, skills and experience:
Welding Qualification of related discipline (i.e. Engineer qualification or Welder / Boilermaker Trade or Equivalent)
Minimum often (10) years’ experience in welding engineering within a manufacturing environment
Supervision of skilled maintenance trades
Good organisational skills
Knowledge and practical experience of SMAW, GMAW and GTAW
Ability to write reports and communicate effectively
Computer literacy
Knowledge and experience in Quality Management System (5 years minimum)
Valid driver’s licence
Planning and organising skills
Communication skills
Good critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Creativity and innovation
Be in independent worker, also be able to work within a team environment
