WORKSHOP SUPERVISOR
Automation & Control Cape Town
This position reports to: BRANCH MANAGER (AUTOMATION & CONTROL - CAPE TOWN)
The Purpose:
The Workshop Supervisor is accountable to the Branch Manager with regards to all his/her functions. It is the responsibility
of the Title Holder to ensure that he / she is familiar with the contents of this document.

Responsibilities:
The Systems Engineer main duties include inter alia the following: -
? Supervising the production activities of the workshop within the parameters of the set assembly tasks
? Directing and supervising the activities of the workshop staff in line with Company policy and management
requirements.
? Motivation, moral and discipline of staff.
? Submit reports to Branch Manager detailing the relevant information as requested in the monthly report schedule.
? Monitor performance of workshop team against laid down targets and delivery dates
? Ensuring conformance to standard procedures according to binding drawings, assembly manuals, type lists, quality
plans and test instructions.
? Condition of working tools and workplaces and general workshop and housekeeping.
? Conduct quarterly workshop audits (CBI 114/1) and housekeeping checklists (CBI 111/1)
? Monitoring of workshop efficiency and schedules
? Maintaining the Quality Assurance Manual and documents relative to workshop processes
? Monitoring, controlling and supervision of overtime worked by workshop staff and informing the Branch Manager
and Divisional Manager of the reason.
? Ensuring that assembly operation are performed in accordance with documented instructions
? Inspection of equipment for preservation and marking prior to loading on transport for dispatch
? Reporting all non-conformances to the Branch Manager
? Ensuring safe working conditions
? Quality Control
? Final Inspection, Testing and RTC completion.

Qualifications & Experience:
? Qualified Industrial Electrician
? Good experience in M.C.C.’s
? Production and Quality Control
? Testing of panels
? Final inspection of panels
